Geocomputation and spatial analytics - PGLLANK17208
The programme builds on a combination of professional, problem-based and interdisciplinary approaches and is organized on the basis of the following work and evaluation forms combining skills and professional reflection, where students acquire knowledge, skills and competences on geocomputation and spacial analytics. Type of instruction combines lectures and exercises.
- A wide range of advanced analysis and modelling methods like spatial statistics, raster-based modelling, network analysis, predictive models, multivariate analysis, classification, and hydrological analysis, Multi-criteria evaluation and decision support systems
- Being able to understand and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the different geoprocessing methods and tools.
- Identifying and applying advanced geocomputational techniques and decision analysis to solve practical problems
- Having the ability to design and develop decision support systems from identifying appropriate data and tools to present the results to the decision makers and the public
