MODULE DESCRIPTION
Assimilating knowledge about the sociological development in urban planning, the urban sociology theory, the sociological research methods and the exceptional urban environment characteristics, urban lifestyle features, the cultural differences and life in the city and its impact on urban populations: individuals, families, communities. Analysis of urban structure and urban two-way communication, social and human environment formation criteria, urbanization and the impact of globalization on the contemporary city. In order to put the theoretical knowledge into practice, a practical project is developed using the Challenge-based methodology (CBL).
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Acquire systematic understanding and integrated comprehensive knowledge of urban sociology;
Acquire skills to apply the knowledge of urban sociology in the fields of scientific research and design;
Acquire knowledge about the links between the urban sociology and the concept of sustainability and sustainable design;
Acquire systematic understanding and theoretical, fact, and methodological knowledge of social-economic phenomena in the context of research, management, and formation of environment.
