The textile industry and how we consume clothes since mid 1950 is enormous and not sustainable. The resources, i e water, pesticides and mainly fossil energy, that you need to produce clothes stands for 80% of the negative effect on the environment and the overproduction is huge.

Finess Hygiene

Finess Hygiene is located in south of Östergötland. We are now in the process of developing a 100% biobased and biodegradable airlaid nonwoven. We are using airlad today as a raw material to produce some of our finished products.
The products we have today with that type of raw material are mainly wipes and protective sheets.

We would like to get ideas to what type of usage that could be for our new material in the home and healthcare sectors.

The supply of competence in short and long term is of highest priority for sustainable growth in Norrköping. Cooperation between students at Campus Norrköping and the trade and industry in Norrköping needs to be improved to achieve the best of results. How can we create a system or a working model that facilitates the contacts between trade and industry and students, that is not tied to a person but sustainable regardless who has the role.
