User eXperience Challenge
WHAT IS THE UX CHALLENGE?
A two day Design Sprint during which you will analyze, evaluate and re-design the User eXperience of digital products and services brought by Italian companies. Students and recent graduates will form groups and work with UX expert mentors to improve the capability of apps and software to meet users' needs and expectations.
Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February 2021 in Trento (or online depending on Covid restrictions)
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each team of solver will be assigned one digital product/service to work on. Over the two days, teams will utilize user research and UX design techniques, also involving end users selected by HIT through Smartcrowds.net to carry out usability tests. After having understood the product’s value proposition, teams will first focus on its pain points; after that they will explore unserved needs; they will then identify suggestions for improvement of the usability, and design new interface mockups.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
Because you'll get to know other students and professionals passionate of digital interaction and Used design; you will apply the leading UX design and service design methodologies to real products; you'll have a chance to challenge your UX design skills, learning from mentors, and being noticed by the participating companies. Last but not least the Challenge will be good fun.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
All students attending the University of Trento (Ph.D. included) can apply as a solver, students attending TAG – Trento Alta Formazione of Istituto Pavoniano Artigianelli per le Arti Grafiche and alumni from both mentioned intituions can apply, provided that graduation occurred within the past 18 months. Finally, students affiliated with one of the Universities belonging to ECIU can apply. A commission appointed by HIT will select the solvers.
