The mobility sector is currently facing a series of new paradigms (from driverless, electric, shared, connected vehicles, to micromobility), combined with the challenges of efficient, inclusive, safe and sustainable mobility. In addition to the relevance of the topic and as society recognizes the growing importance of optimizing transport systems, it is necessary to know how to identify and evaluate innovations that arise in the mobility of people and goods.
The micromodule “Smart and sustainable mobility” addresses the mobility present and future challenges inherent in the issue of mobility for more sustainable and resilient cities, responding to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), namely regarding the reduction of negative impacts, such as greenhouse gas emissions, emissions of nocive pollutants, traffic congestion, road safety and noise. This micromodule includes innovative approaches to smart cities, which include mobility and transport smart systems, as well as alternative fuels and propulsion modes.

» To identify sustainable mobility measures.
» To select the main technologies (both in terms of digitalization and alternative propulsion modes) that can be implemented to improve mobility from an energy and environmental point of view.
