Create new markets in industrial paint

Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure; Sustainable Cities and Communities
Closed for application

Stillströms Industrifärg AB is a vendor & distributor of industrial paint and accessories to professional customers that operate within the metal manufacturing-, plastic-, wood treatment-, anti-corrosion coating-, maritime- and car industries. The operation is conducted at three various locations, in Linköping, Eskilstuna and Stockholm, and the clientele is mainly composed of small to medium sized material treatment businesses.

Background

For several years the chemical- and environmental legislation have step-by-step become more restrictive, increasing the strain on companies within the sector to stay à jour with the legislative standards. It is both time consuming and, in some cases, expansive to fulfill all requirements imposed, in the meantime it may prove costly to violate the current regulations. There are also the UNs sustainable development goals to integrate and develop within the organization. The current technical innovations could be promoted further against the otherwise conservative business-section in which Stillströms operate.

Challenge

At Stillströms we wish to expand our proactive work and create a competitive advantage from this new frontier. The goal is to improve upon our communications to provide guidance and assistance for our clients with documentation, knowledge and new services, and in such a way create new markets and at the same time consolidate a non-interchangeable role as a partner within industrial paint and material treatment. There are many exciting challenges that Stillströms faces. One challenge is how to spread our knowledge within fire safety, chemical waste management, ISO-certification and working environment in a profitable way. Another challenge is how to take a more active role in the space between customers and authorities. Is it possible to create a service for handling chemical waste? At Stillströms we also need to clarify our sustainability profile towards customer and authorities. Do you have a solution for some of our challenges – or maybe a combination of them?
