Building towards the university of the future
The University of Twente is a research university in the Twente region in the eastern Netherlands. We aim to provide students with the best possible education to prepare them for their future work. It is therefore important to us that our education is an optimal combination between our strengths as a high tech human touch university and the skills and knowledge employers require our alumni to have throughout their careers. This is what we call future-proof education.
For this challenge, we would like you to work in a multidisciplinary and international group of passionate students and staff from up to twelve international universities on a challenge that will contribute towards future-proofing higher education. You and your team will have a large amount of freedom to work on those challenges higher education is facing, and which you think your expertise or personal interest will be of added value.
For your inspiration:
- How can universities cope with the increasingly fast-changing expectations and needs of students, industry, society, and policymakers?
- How could higher education capitalise and benefit from the technological and innovative developments?
- What types of collaboration between higher education and societal partners (industry, governmental bodies, NGO’s etc) will be more meaningful and sustainable for education, research and for the societal partners ?
Offers and Expectations
We will provide you with a dedicated guiding coach who will guide you through the process. The University of Twente is the challenge provider and will provide you with all the necessary resources and information available. The University of Twente is very society-oriented and encourages networking and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, such as stakeholders in the industry, the public sector and higher education/research across the Twente region. We are experts in multi- and interdisciplinarity, analytic, design and creative skills. In line with our ‘student over system’ philosophy, we will assist you in any way we can to help you learn.
